Welcome!
I am so glad you have found me on my little space on the internet. After launching my site, I thought a blog would be a nice way to let people get to know me, as well as hear about the amazing adventures I have with my clients on photoshoots.
I never intended to start a photography business, I was just always the friend with the camera capturing memories so we could make a new photo wall in our rooms. A few years back I got myself a nice camera and was determined to take beautiful sunset photos, because Cape Cod sunsets are a breed of their own. I had a friend who needed senior pictures but wasn't able to afford a professional, so away we went. Outfit changes in the backseat and a plethora of locations later, she had a lot of options for the yearbook and I realized maybe I do want to photograph people. I continued to take pictures here and there, but never anything serious.
Fast forward to week 2 of quarantine, when I decided I wanted to spend more time doing something I love. Now, don't get me wrong, I love teaching and my volunteer work, but I never smile and laugh as much as when I'm with a client on a shoot. So I set up my website here, and practiced taking photos of all the nature in my yard...because quarantine. Once we were able to be out safely and social distanced I set up a few Front Porch Project shoots, as well as senior cap and gown photos. These were a big hit, and a great way to get out there.
So now it's 2021 and I am slowly building this little business, in between teaching and meetings, and loving every minute. My word to focus on this year is GROW, personally and professionally. So I started the New Year taking an online photography class, and am working hard on making sure I put myself first.
If you've made it this far, thanks for reading. I'd love to get to know you more- leave a comment, find me on social media, or send me an email!
